Korea 2009
The Girl Scouts of Korea will host the Olave Baden-Powell Society Event in Seoul from 10 – 13 September 2009. Chairman of Host Committee, Dr. Juseon Byun and members of OB-PS Korea are doing their best for a successful and memorable 25th Anniversary celebration of OB-PS.
The main venue will be the five-star Exclusive Hotel ‘Shilla’. The ‘Sofitel Ambassador’, a hotel at the same grade but a different price, will be an alternative place for your stay.
We are very fortunate to be able to hold our Presentation Ceremony at the National Museum of Korea, one of the most famous museums in the world. This is the first time that a non-governmental organization has been allowed to use it.
A Seoul City Tour to view many of the landmarks is scheduled during the event, and a two-night tour after the event is optional to Kyungju City, where 5000 years of history exists and to the beautiful resort, Jeju Island in the South part of Korea. You will be able to have a real taste of Korean Culture in addition to the activities of Girl Scouting in Korea. Many members and guests from Asian Countries will be invited to this event. Let us wish for a wonderful OB-PS Event in Korea!
