Over 250 members of the Olave Baden-Powell Society met in Switzerland, 23-26 May, 2013. The objective of the event was to demonstrate the impact their donations are making to the lives of girls and young women across the world and thank them for their on going support of our work.
The varied programme over four days allowed attendees to find out more about Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting in Switzerland through presentations from young women and Anna Guyaz, President of the Swiss Guide and Scout Association.
Mary Mc Phail spoke about our global programmes and breakout sessions on Our Chalet and the recent Stop Violence event in Rwanda allowed those attending to get an insight into the difference WAGGGS is making across the world.
Over 50 new members were presented with their OBPS insignia by HRH Princess Benedikte and several individuals were recognised for their donations of over £25,000 at a special ceremony during the Gala Dinner.
