Vibeke Riemer has donated £60,000 to the World Association. Involved in Guiding since childhood, Olave Baden-Powell Society member Vibeke Riemer knows very well how WAGGGS can help girls and young women. As a member of the OB-PS Board and the WAGGGS Fund Development Task Group, Vibeke is also well placed to know how essential donations are for the World Association to continue to provide this vital work.
Vibeke made this donation for the WAGGGS Leadership Development Programme (WLDP) because she thinks it is “the most important programme for WAGGGS in our time”. Launched at the 33rd World Conference last July, this programme is presently implemented at events such as the Juliette Low Seminar being held at Our Chalet.
Vibeke is already a major donor to WAGGGS and has received the Princess Benedikte Award in 2006 in recognition of her generosity towards the World Association. This Award is presented to OB-PS members who donate a cumulative total of at least £25,000.
