How to become a member
Este texto no ha sido traducido todavía
To become a member of OB-PS you have to make a financial commitment towards a better future for girls and young women through WAGGGS, in one of the following ways:
-
A contribution of £6,000 or more as a single lump sum
-
Six annual payment of £1,100
- A bequest in a will of £12,000 or more
-
A life insurance allocation of £18,000 or more
Please note that an administration fee of £600 is required with all payments (except the single lump sum). I heard about OB-PS through friends who were involved in the Girl Guide/Girl Scout Movement - it seemed to me a wonderful way to support the development of young people all over the world. An individual may also become a member of OB-PS through a donation given in his or her honour, or memory. Some of our members have been gifted with membership by friends and colleagues in recognition of their dedication to Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting. In Memoriam memberships are taken out by families and friends in tribute to those whose memory they wish to honour.
All new members are presented with their membership certificate at a special ceremony either at the OB-PS annual event or at another suitable ceremony in different parts of the world.
You do not have to be involved in Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting to become a member of the Olave Baden-Powell Society.
Birthe Lacoppidan, Denmark
All members’ names are inscribed on a Roll of Honour at the World Bureau in London.
